Jacket: Tahari // Skirt: Banana Republic // Shirt: TJ Maxx // Bracelet: Rebecca Minkoff // Shoes: Franco Sarto // Lip: Fresh Sugar |
This past weekend was probably the last time I could get away with not wearing tights outdoors (will I come home without legs?), so I decided to style a casual skirt outfit around my new fur cropped jacket, paired with the all-important crop top. The crop top was a bold choice in my life, as I really haven't worn one since the late 90's with a beaded choker necklace. Styled with a high-waisted pencil skirt, I believe it highlights right part of a woman's figure, and can be very flattering. Although, this is an outfit I would save for weekends or after work (not workplace appropriate). With a bold-colored top, I explored different textures with the black pieces of clothing; the fur jacket, patent leather shoes, and cotton pencil skirt. I think it's a fun way to incorporate this favorite color in ways that add life to the outfit.
I also loved a good stacked bracelet situation (hey, arm party!). There aren't enough pieces here to classify it as an arm party, but I do love pairing two cuffs together to add a simple but sophisticated look. Take a peek at this run Rebecca Minkoff leather cuff. I'll be doing more posts in the future about perfect bracelet pairings.
So I leave you with this, my friends. Explore different textures and try bold choices that you might have not tried since 1999! Could be fun.

Hey, I like the look. Bold choices indeed!
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that your link to bloglovin' that is in your sidebar, is still connecting to your tumblr and not to this URL. I missed several of your posts due to this, and think that others may have too. Have a great day!
